This is my version of "Alley Cat" on the Hammond A100 with just a bit of help from the Yamaha DX7II. "The Alley Cat" is a song by Bent Fabricus-Bjerre who went by the name Bent Fabric. The song won a grammy for Best Rock & Roll recording in 1962.

This song first appeared in 1928 in the show "Present Arms." Song by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Lorenz Hart. Recorded by many artists including Charlie Byrd, Linda Ronstadt, The Supremes, Art Tatum, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and yeah me, on a Hammond Organ A100 and a Hammond Jazz tonewheel sounding imitation thing on the Yamaha DX7II.

This was played on the A100,
strings/brass/per cussion accompaniment midi'd on the DX7II, Emu Sound Module and Yamaha RX17 drums.

Here's my attempt at Henry Mancini's 'Mr. Lucky.' Mancini's organist, Buddy Cole left a legacy with the smoothest Hammond I've ever heard in that recording of the 1960's. I tried, but never came close! The strings were provided courtesy of an Emu Proteus, played through a Yahama DX7II.
