Been through 6 ETRMs on my Honeybee CP2 this year. I took one apart showing the wire melted and cause of failure. Heat and stalling it, kills these things. Always use a heat sink and always let it cool after 5 minutes of flying and it will last longer. If it fails in flight fly in and land like an airplane.

I briefly fly a real Eurocopter over my office and over Newport Beach, after looking through my personal RC helicopter history book first.
I am pleased to have been involved with helicopters all these years.
Real helicopters were just coming of age at the beginning of WW2.
We have come a long way since then in Models and the real ones.
